Today we will be embarking on one of the most traditional family outings of the year…
We are going to cut down our Christmas Tree!
So here’s how it’s going to go…We’ll drive to some Christmas tree farm that is way too far away. (Luckily it’s not that cold out today) Usually it’s freezing out and nine times out of ten there’s snow on the ground. Five minutes into the search mom will find one that she likes, but dad will want to keep looking…”We just started looking! Let’s see what else there is…we’ll come back to that one if we can’t find another one.” That is almost the exact conversation between the two of them…every year! So we’ll move on still looking…even though we all know that we’ll end up with the one that mom picked in the beginning. Everyone will pick out a different tree. No one will agree. An hour will go by and we still won’t have a tree picked. By this time, mom’s usually pissed off and won’t be talking to any of us. Dad will finally walk back to the tree that mom picked five minutes into the whole ordeal.
So that’s our annual tree excursion…and yes I said excursion, because there is no other way t describe it. You won’t completely understand unless you’ve actually experienced it.
Even though this might not seem like the most fun…it is! I love hanging out with my family and we always have a lot of fun!

So I’m thinking about buying a BluRay player…actually I’m going to buy a BluRay. The problem is I just don’t know that much about them. I should rephrase that…I know exactly what they are and how they work, I just don’t know what brands are the best. First things first, I love Sony and I’ve never strayed. We have a Sony flatscreen, DVD player, I’ve grown up on Sony. The question is…has Sony mastered the BluRay? OR…is there another master of the BluRay?
Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated!
My last thoughts/questions…Is BluRay all it’s cracked up to be? Is it worth my money? Is it that much better than regular DVD players?
I hate when you hear a song that you like on the radio and the DJ doesn’t tell you the name of it! Then you go home and (if you remember) try to look it up online. Nine times out of ten you can’t find it. I can never remember the tune. I sit there for hours trying to sing it again. Just trying to remember, at the very least, the chorus so I can type it into Google. Once in a while I’ll get lucky and stumble upon it, but I have yet to find a fool-proof method to find the mysterious, nameless song I just heard on the radio.
I did it! While I was writing this very post, I found the song that I just heard in the car on the way home! Thank God because that would have been bugging me for the rest of the night.

Tonight is Game 6 of the World Series. Yankees vs Phillies. Pettitte vs Martinez. For one team tonight could mean a championship. For the other, it’s a fight to stay alive. Who will win? The series is back in NY. This gives the Yankees the advantage. They have the crowd on their side tonight. Can the underdog Phillies overcome A-Rod’s hot bat and the rest of the very dangerous Yankees to force the series to Game 7? We shall see! Tonight 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX!

I love Mondays! I know most of you are thinking ‘wow what a freak,” but I can’t really explain it. It’s my one day off and I get to do whatever I want. I do have one meeting that I have to go to from 10 – 11, but after that the day is mine! Today I went to the meeting and afterward went out for a little shopping. What could be better than that? And…let’s not forget Monday Night Football!! tonight should be really exciting too. Football and Game 5 of the World Series! Hopefully the Yankees will clinch tonight! Here come the Bronx Bombers!
